Mobility
Interacting, travelling and moving through different environments safely can be a daunting and challenging prospect for an individual with a visual impairment. Our mobility department uses individual programmes and tuition to empower learners with the skill, attitude and knowledge for safe, appropriate independent travel.
We offer:
• Individual mobility and independence training for each learner throughout the School and College
• Experience of busy environments both in the local and the broader community
• Experience of public transport
• Formal route tuition to partner Colleges and recreational venues
• Close liaison with home mobility provision
• Assessment of need
